About The Position

The Polysomnographer is responsible for the daily operations of portable monitoring equipment for the sleep-disordered breathing unit. The role provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, educates patients and their families as needed, and coordinates care and provides support to physicians. The position is at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, and is full-time with 8-hour day shifts. Providence St. Jude Medical Center was designated a Magnet organization in 2015 and 2020 by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program and was applying for redesignation in April 2025. Requirements

California Polysom Technologist License upon hire.
National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
National Certified Polysomnographic Technician credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
At least 1 year of experience as a polysomnographic technologist.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree from an accredited educational program with an emphasis in polysomnography, or equivalent education or experience.
Membership in good standing with the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists.
