Requirements

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • High level of comfort using technology, including tablets and specialized voting equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures with precision.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Must remain strictly neutral and nonpartisan at all times while on duty.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to assist a diverse range of voters.
  • Graduation from High School or GED.
  • Registered voter in Cache County.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a background check successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Fostering a professional and welcoming environment by greeting voters and providing clear guidance throughout the election process.
  • Checking in participants using electronic poll books to verify information, issuing ballots, and explaining specific voting procedures.
  • Providing hands-on assistance with voting equipment, such as ballot-marking devices, to ensure the process is accessible and seamless for all individuals, including those who require extra support.
  • Monitoring the polling site to uphold security and legal compliance.
  • Handling the physical setup and breakdown of equipment and signage.
  • Diligent record-keeping, including completing official documentation and end-of-day reconciliation tasks.
