This role is responsible for retrieving, drying, and polishing all clean dining room/lounge service ware, and distributing it to the appropriate stations. The Polisher will interact with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. This position supports the dining room/lounge team members in accommodating guest needs, works with dish station team members to ensure adequate supplies, and maintains the general cleanliness of the station and the entire venue. The Polisher must comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards, clean polishing equipment using proper chemicals, change garbage, recycling, and broken glass bins, and empty compost when needed. Additionally, they ensure all stations are stocked to par, inform management when inventories are low, and maintain restroom cleanliness when bathroom attendants are not scheduled. The role involves setting up the polishing station and performing opening/closing procedures as directed, including stocking side-stations and performing side-work. Reporting all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management is crucial. The Polisher is expected to attend training sessions and departmental meetings, learn by observing and sharing knowledge, and portray a positive and professional attitude. Demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments, and working as part of a team with a willingness to help others are key aspects of this role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
