Our facility located in Warsaw, IN is looking for a Polisher on a 3rd shift schedule. The Polisher is responsible for surface finishing in accordance with blueprint specifications and work instructions to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operation to be performed
  • Good math and computer skills including knowledge of Workstation Driver
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Operate polishing equipment
  • Change wheels according to part specifications
  • Check complete orders in Polishing area for paperwork accuracy, verify count and move to next location
  • Follow urgent needs jobs through the finishing shop to guarantee delivery
  • Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain production quality to customer prints
  • Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
  • Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, function gages to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
  • Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
  • Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
