Polisher - 3rd Shift

Our facility located in Warsaw, IN is looking for a Polisher on a 3rd shift schedule. The Polisher is responsible for surface finishing in accordance with blueprint specifications and work instructions to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
- Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operation to be performed
- Good math and computer skills including knowledge of Workstation Driver
- Self-starter and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities
- Operate polishing equipment
- Change wheels according to part specifications
- Check complete orders in Polishing area for paperwork accuracy, verify count and move to next location
- Follow urgent needs jobs through the finishing shop to guarantee delivery
- Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Maintain production quality to customer prints
- Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
- Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, function gages to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
- Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
- Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
