About The Position

Nationwide Fab. is a leading manufacturer of custom commercial stainless steel food service equipment. Our products are found in independent and chain restaurants, stadiums, hospitals, universities, corporate centers, and other commercial locations. As a Metal polisher, you will use metalworking equipment and machinery to polish and buff almost finished metal workpieces to enhance their smoothness and appearance and remove oxidization, which tarnishes the metal after the other fabrication processes.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent education and work experience
Ability to inspect each piece for flaws or cracks to ensure it meets the specifications and quality standards
Will need to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule form instructions.
Must be able to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
Willingness to learn new skills and/or assist as needed.
Must be able to pass a drug and background check if required, and must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to Commute: Northglenn, CO 80233 (Required)

Nice To Haves

Grinding, polishing & sanding experience
Bilingual Spanish

Responsibilities

Using machinery and abrasive tools, such as wheels and vibratory finishers.
Operating polishing equipment, removing imperfections, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Polishing, stainless-steel metal components to clean finishes.
Fettling, Grinding, Deburring, Polishing out weld seams.
Grinding burs off of metal pieces, inspecting parts, and finishing parts using tools and machines.
Hold and move metal parts against the sanding and polishing belt.
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
Performs effectively as a team member, can work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone respectfully.
Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
Follow all department quality standards/criteria.
Raise concerns and issues to management.
Understands the department’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to achieving these goals individually and as a team.
Refining surfaces to meet specific standards.
Cleaning and inspecting parts, Ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Improving the quality and appearance of items.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
