About The Position

As the Policy & Legal Analyst with BCBSWY, you will support legislative tracking, government affairs, policy analysis, and legal operations. This position researches and analyzes legislative, regulatory, legal, and public policy matters; monitors state and federal developments affecting the organization; and prepares reports, summaries, correspondence, presentations, and other materials to support decision-making. The role also assists with legal research, contract and policy drafting, document management, regulatory responses, and special projects within the Legal Department. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and critical thinker with knowledge of government processes, legislative affairs, and legal concepts.

Requirements

Associate degree
Five years of progressive legal experience
Five years of progressive government experience
Strong writing skills
Critical thinking skills
Knowledge of government processes
Knowledge of legislative affairs
Knowledge of legal concepts
