KIP Spring 2027 - Policy Fellow - Engine Foundation
About The Position
Engine Foundation (Engine) is seeking a Policy Fellow for the Spring of 2027. Engine is a D.C.-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to promote policies that encourage the growth of startup ecosystems. We focus on issues at both the local and federal level that impact startups and their ability to scale nationwide and globally. These issues include: Access to talent (high skilled immigration and STEM education); Access to capital (tax and capital formation); International Trade; Data security and privacy; and Strong intermediary liability protections (free speech, sensible copyright policies, reduced regulatory burdens on intermediaries). We are looking for a KIP participant to help with our policy advocacy and grassroots work in Washington, D.C.
Requirements
- Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program.
- Attending the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming is required for both full and part-time participants.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and carry out grassroots startup outreach
- Writing articles and blog posts on policy issues
- Helping with larger research projects
- Attend events that are relevant to our D.C. outreach
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments
