About The Position

The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the United States tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges. Federal team interns conduct research and analysis on timely debates in federal tax policy while also supporting our modeling efforts to score the economic, distributional, and revenue effects of proposed federal tax changes.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program.
  • Established interest in federal tax policy and alignment with the Tax Foundation's mission.
  • Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Academic background in economics, political science, or public policy.
  • Previous work experience in public policy.
  • Familiarity with Python.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on current federal tax debates.
  • Support modeling efforts for economic and revenue scoring.
  • Analyze the distributional effects of proposed tax changes.
