Center for Global DevelopmentWashington, DC

About The Position

The Center for Global Development (CGD) is seeking a Policy Fellow or Senior Policy Fellow, depending on career level and experience, with expertise in US foreign assistance and development finance programs and agencies. The successful candidate will have policy or research experience in US foreign assistance or development policy and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to policymaking in these areas. Fellows typically specialize in one or more of CGD's core research areas related to global economic development. In this instance, we are particularly interested in candidates who can develop and implement a research agenda examining US international economic statecraft and its relationship to global development, including a critical assessment of whether and how levers such as trade policy, development finance tools, and foreign aid can be effectively harnessed to advance development objectives, and what policy reforms might better align them toward that end. The fellow/senior fellow will contribute to and help coordinate CGD's work in this area, collaborating with other Fellows, interacting with external audiences, and supervising research assistants on discrete tasks as needed. Policy/Senior Policy Fellows possess excellent networks in their relevant policy area, research, and funding communities, as well as experience managing complex research projects.
