About The Position

Avantgarde, LLC is seeking a Policy Analyst IV to support our federal client who has multiple locations in Washington, DC, and this position will be performed on-site, full-time at one of their locations. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the policy making process within the federal government. The Policy Support Analyst will work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders to ensure policies are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with the agency's mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to identify policy needs.
• Draft new policies and procedures that address identified needs.
• Review and revise existing policies to ensure they are current and effective.
• Ensure policies comply with federal regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy drafts.
• Facilitate meetings and discussions to ensure broad participation in the policy-making process.
• Communicate policy changes and updates to relevant parties.
• Analyze the impact of proposed policies on the agency and its operations.
• Assess the effectiveness of current policies and recommend improvements.
• As necessary conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments for proposed policy changes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on policy analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of policy development activities and decisions.
• Ensure all policy documentation is accurate, clear, and accessible.
• Monitor the implementation of new and revised policies.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure policies are applied consistently across the agency.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of policy implementation and make necessary adjustments.
