About The Position

The Policies and Cancellation Clerk is responsible for reviewing, processing, and maintaining all dealership policy cancellations and related financial transactions. This position supports dealership operations by ensuring the accuracy of policy records, timely processing of cancellations, and proper reconciliation of associated accounts.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must have Excel experience

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in accounting and automotive dealership operations preferred, preferably in cancellations
CDK Experience preferred

Responsibilities

Review all deal documentation to ensure the correct policies are active and accurately recorded
Cancel duplicate or incorrect policies promptly upon deal submission
Process and manage vehicle cancellations, including customer requested cancellations, lender requested cancellations and trades
Verify and maintain accurate cancellation records in the system
Process payments to warranty companies and post the remittance
Maintain accurate and up to date cancellation schedules
Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely resolution of cancellation issues
Communicate with customers, dealerships, and finance institutions regarding cancellation status and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards related to cancellations
Assist with auditing and reporting related to cancellation activities
Assist with answering incoming calls to the accounting department during high-volume periods
Perform other duties as assigned
