About The Position

This customer service position requires processing and auditing a variety of records including stolen autos, missing persons, fraud, and forgery and protection orders. Provides audit, entry, indexing, storage, maintenance, retrieval and dissemination of Police Department records in accordance with federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations; collects monies for the sale of police reports and photographic fees when applicable. Trained in the areas of Local, Mules and NCIC terminal information, including records retrieval and microfilming. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year experience of related duties is preferred
• Selected applicants will be asked to take a typing test (35 wpm)
• Within the first six (6) months of hiring, candidate must pass a written examination on the Missouri Sunshine Laws, complete NIMS training, and be MULES certified
• Position requires ability to maintain multiple computer systems at one time
• Must be able to work rapidly, accurately and process cash record sales according to procedure
• Requires ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and demonstrate initiative within established guidelines
• Requires a background check, drug test, polygraph test, oral board interview, and psychological examination
• Requires a valid driver’s license, drug testing and a comprehensive background check, including a polygraph and psychological
• You must be available to work ANY shift
• Must be available for shift work and weekend work
• Days off rotate every 28 days
• Hours of work: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. / 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
