The City of Ventura Police Department is seeking a Police Services Officer/Senior Police Services Officer. This non-sworn position is crucial for supporting public safety operations through various technical, administrative, and customer service functions. The role involves assisting with law enforcement support, handling public inquiries, preparing reports, coordinating programs, managing records and evidence, offender registration, parking enforcement, and training coordination. Depending on the assignment, duties may also include supporting crime prevention programs, volunteer coordination, background investigations, traffic operations, court liaison activities, animal control services, and body-worn camera and digital evidence programs. This position is flexibly staffed and can be filled at either the Officer or Senior Officer level, based on qualifications, experience, demonstrated skills, and departmental needs.
