About The Position

Under the general direction of the Deputy Chief of Police, the Police Services Administrative Support independently performs a broad range of complex administrative, operational, and technical support functions requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and discretion. The incumbent serves as the department’s primary coordinator for parking management operations, confidential executive support, departmental administration, and financial services. The position is responsible for administering and coordinating the University’s parking program, including permit administration, special event parking, parking communications, parking technology systems, parking appeals, revenue collection systems, and coordination with campus constituents and external agencies. The incumbent independently develops and implements procedures, interprets and communicates University policies and regulations, provides training, and provides work direction to student assistants and departmental personnel involved in parking operations. As the principal administrative support position for the department, the incumbent provides confidential support to the Deputy Chief of Police, manages executive calendars and travel arrangements, coordinates meetings and special events, prepares complex correspondence and reports, and handles sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • One year of technical or administrative experience.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
