About The Position
The Florence Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. This opportunity is open to both new recruits and certified peace officers. Interested candidates are encouraged to complete and submit an application. The starting pay is $34.42/hour, which is equivalent to an annual salary of approximately $71,590. Upon successful completion of the police academy, an additional $4,562 per year will be added to the employee’s salary in accordance with KLEFPF eligibility. Lateral police officers with a minimum of two years of full-time employment with a state, county, or municipal police, sheriff's department, or similar agency may potentially qualify for lateral pay.
