About The Position

The Civil Service Commission of Lansdale Borough of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, announces an examination for a full-time police officer position. Lansdale is a diverse community and encourages a diverse pool of applicants. Candidates who qualify to take the written test will receive information on the date and time of the exam. The Physical Agility Test will take place the same day, following the completion of the Written Exam. Application packets are available for pick up starting Monday, July 29, 2025, and must be submitted by 4:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 21 Years Old
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Physically Fit
  • Completed a minimum of 2 years (60 semester hours) from an accredited college (any credits awarded from MPOETC are applicable); OR
  • Completed 2 years active duty military experience with an Honorable Discharge and/or eligibility for Honorable Discharge if still engaged in Military service at the time of application; OR
  • 2 years experience as a certified Law Enforcement Officer with a minimum of 1,000 hours of actual on-the-job experience.
