Police Officer - Certified/Lateral
About The Position
Lake Havasu City Police Department is seeking certified and experienced officers to join their growing and busy agency in one of Arizona’s most beautiful waterfront cities. This full-time position offers competitive earning potential, with first-year officers earning approximately $87,000 including shift differential, built-in overtime, and holiday pay. Special teams and assignments can further increase earning opportunities. Officers are provided with fully equipped duty gear and uniforms, and patrol vehicles are equipped with advanced technology including in-car cameras, mobile computers, and AI report writing software.
Requirements
- AZ State certification as a Police Officer
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or GED
- Arizona driver’s license (or ability to obtain one)
- Successful completion of physical agility testing (500-yard run, obstacle course, fence climb, body drag) with a minimum combined score of 384 points.
- Successful completion of a writing assignment.
- Successful completion of an Oral Board Interview.
- Successful completion of a polygraph examination.
- AZPOST Certified Officer Applicants must have successfully completed an AZPOST approved Police Officer Academy and currently possess an active AZPOST Peace Officer Certification.
- Out-of-State Lateral Officer Applicants must have successfully completed a sworn Police Officer Academy and currently possess an active Peace Officer Certification. May gain AZPOST Certification through waiver process.
