About The Position

The Town of Prosper is seeking a qualified and dedicated Police Lieutenant. The role requires law enforcement experience, including supervisory and administrative experience, and a valid Texas Peace Officer License and Advanced Certification. The position description is representative of major duties and responsibilities; incumbents may not perform every listed duty and may be assigned other related tasks. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced Peace Officer Certification.
• Sixty (60) college credit hours.
• At least two (2) years of full-time experience at the rank of Police Sergeant, or equivalent law enforcement experience as approved by the Chief of Police.
• Seven (7) years of law enforcement experience, including two (2) years of police supervisory and administrative experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Possession of a valid Texas Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
• Possession of Advanced Certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in Police Science, Law Enforcement Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Completion of advanced law management training such as LEMIT, ILEA, or similar.
