About The Position

The City of Chandler Police Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as a Police Lieutenant. This is a regular full-time position with benefits. The primary function of an employee in this class is to plan, supervise, and review the activities of all personnel assigned to a section of the Police Department. This position is responsible for the administration of a functional section or acts as duty commander of the Police Department. An employee in this class performs the duties of other employees in the Public Safety Department as required or as assigned by supervisory personnel. Employees may be delegated assignments in specialized areas such as field operations, neighborhood services, criminal investigations, professional standards, administration, or other assignments.

Requirements

Must currently hold the rank of Police Sergeant or above.
Must have at least five years of experience at the rank of Sergeant or above.
Must currently serve with a law enforcement agency with 100 or more sworn personnel.
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Must possess an AZPOST Certification.
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
