About The Position

This position reports to the Support Services Division, Police Services Coordinator. Assist the Police Department with daily activities, including transporting vehicles for repair, delivery of department mail, and delivery and pick up of supplies. Able to function with little or no daily supervision.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
• Able to function with little or no daily supervision.
• Able to communicate with the public, employees, and management in person and using a radio or telephone.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of: Operation of vehicles utilized at the Tyler Police Department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver vehicles for repair and preventative maintenance.
• Deliver department mail and pick up checks.
• Pick up supplies at stores and estimates on damaged vehicles.
• Assist in equipment inspection and vehicle inventory.
• Handle general tasks as assigned by supervision.
