Poker Cashier/ Dealer (On Call)
About The Position
The Poker Cashier is assigned to a Poker Bank during a shift and performs transactions for players and employees of the Poker Room. As necessary, may need to perform duties of a Poker dealer. This role requires adherence to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations, including Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Customer Identification requirements. The position may be assigned to the Poker Main Bank or the Poker Auxiliary Bank during a shift. Responsibilities include selling and redeeming chips, exchanging chips and/or cash for dealers, performing transactions accurately, providing quality customer service, assisting with player seating and sign-up boards, maintaining a neat work area, and assisting with poker card inventory. The Poker Dealer role also requires adherence to AML regulations, maintaining a friendly relationship with customers, exchanging cash for chips, ensuring blinds/antes are placed before dealing, dealing cards according to casino procedures, possessing knowledge of Poker games, maintaining table integrity and security, and keeping the table neat. Both roles require excellent guest service and compliance with all applicable internal controls, standard operating procedures, and tribal regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 year customer service and cash handling experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Poker dealing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations, including Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Customer Identification requirements.
- Sell and redeem chips for poker players.
- Exchange chips and/or cash for dealers at a table for the replenishment of a poker table bank.
- Perform transactions accurately.
- Provide quality customer service by treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.
- Assist with player seating.
- Assist with keeping the table/games sign-up board up to date.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area.
- Assist in the suiting of the poker card inventory.
- Provide excellent guest service to both guest and internal clients.
- Comply with all applicable ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.
- Maintain a friendly relationship with customers.
- Exchange cash for playing chips.
- Ensure that blinds or antes are placed before cards are dealt.
- Deal cards according to casino standard procedures.
- Possess good working knowledge and understanding of Poker games.
- Maintain integrity of Table Games activity.
- Responsible for table security at all times.
- Maintain a clean and neat table at all times.
- Access to Sensitive Areas and Information as per the ACGC Access Matrix: Buy/sell form, Open/close bank forms, Key check out/in log.
