Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • 3 years of experience in poker room operations; experience in bingo operations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of PC skills including MS Word and Excel.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment such as telephones, copiers, etc.; withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods, and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke.
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.

  • Familiarity with bingo management systems and electronic bingo equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of both the poker and bingo operations teams to maximize revenues and enhance the gaming experience of the guest.
  • Lead and manage Poker Dealers to ensure mentoring meets Miccosukee Service Expectations.
  • Responsible for starting games, tracking team member hours and rotations, making table decisions, and running promotions.
  • Responsible for bank fills and chip purchasing.
  • Monitor compliance with all aspects of Miccosukee Casino & Resort internal controls as they relate to poker operations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental poker policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate all bingo sessions, ensuring games are conducted in accordance with Tribal Gaming Agency regulations and internal controls.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely calling of bingo games, verifying winning cards and authorizing payouts in compliance with established procedures.
  • Manage the sale and distribution of bingo paper, electronic bingo units, and other related gaming supplies, ensuring accurate accounting of all inventories.
  • Monitor bingo equipment, including ball drawing machines and electronic systems, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Plan and implement bingo promotions, special events, and progressive jackpot programs to drive guest engagement and revenue growth.
  • Ensure the bingo floor is properly staffed and that team members are positioned and perform in accordance with session schedules and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and submit session reports, including sales figures, attendance, payouts, and any notable incidents, to management in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all bingo game rules, prize structures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance across both poker and bingo operations.
  • Train, coach, counsel, evaluate, and administer discipline to poker and bingo team members.
  • Make recommendations for the termination of any subordinate team member who, after coaching and discipline, performs at levels below Miccosukee Service Expectations.
  • Interview prospective team members and measure against Miccosukee Service Expectations.
  • Make recommendations for the employment of candidates who will perform at or above Miccosukee Service Expectations.
  • Evaluate operating procedures, recommend changes, and implement approved changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of pertinent casino data.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with guests, managers, and team members.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
