Point of Care Medical Technologist

About The Position
Performs a wide variety of activities to coordinate the laboratory’s Point of Care programs. Assists with implementing the employee orientation program and practices as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS/MLS) as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized school or university.
- MT/CLS/MLS (ASCP) registration or equivalent is required, or the employee must obtain ASCP or equivalent certification within six months of hire.
- At least two years of medical laboratory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and specimen requirements.
- Considerable skill in performing various laboratory tests.
- Considerable skill in planning, organizing, and teaching.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use independent judgment.
Responsibilities
