About The Position

Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated Podiatry Nurse Practitioner to join their growing Lovelace family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position is based at the Lovelace Medical Group Westside office and involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. The Nurse Practitioner will join a surgical team consisting of 1 physician, 2 customer service coordinators, 2 MAs, and 1 surgery scheduler. The daily patient average is 18-24 on clinic days. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, utilizing Epic EMR with an Ambience AI tool.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Current licensure in the state of New Mexico.
Must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this role.
Experience and medical weight management is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage pre- and post-operative patients.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
Provide specialized expertise in wound care management and diabetic foot care, including prevention, treatment, and monitoring of lower extremity wounds and diabetic complications.
