About The Position

Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Podiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Podiatry Service team. This full-time role encompasses both clinical and surgical responsibilities, working in both Augusta and Waterville, Maine.

Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Maine State Board of Nursing
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Maine State Board of Nursing
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage a high volume of patients efficiently.
  • Experienced in both clinical and surgical podiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive foot and ankle care to patients in a clinical setting, independently managing a wide range of podiatric conditions.
  • Assist surgical podiatrists in the operating room.
  • Manage a robust patient population and referral base, with a daily patient load of 15-20 patients.
  • Collaborate with a team of two podiatrist, a nurse practitioner, two certified foot care nurses and support staff.
  • Participate in the rotation of care for patients in our three long-term care facilities.
