About The Position

The EOF Peer Mentoring program matches first-year EOF students with upper-class EOF peer mentors to create a premier student experience as they transition into the University community. Peer Mentors serve as a resource to their fellow students, administration, and the overall program.

Requirements

  • Must be a current EOF student at Seton Hall University
  • Enrolled as full-time student each semester
  • Be in good standing with the EOF Programs and Seton Hall University
  • Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0
  • Be eligible for Federal Work Study

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive leader, helping mentees succeed at SHU
  • Assist mentees in developing an awareness of academic resources and opportunities, policies, and support services
  • Facilitate and encourage attendance at all EOF events
  • Attend and participate in leadership experiences with enthusiasm
  • Help develop and facilitate society events
  • Be highly accessible and responsive to the needs of your mentees and professional staff by responding accordingly
  • Participate in performance assessments to identify areas of growth and improvement
  • Represent the EOF program in a positive, appropriate and professional manner
  • Office duties and other duties as assigned
