About The Position

The PMO Technical Analyst will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Program Managers and project teams on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server issues. This role involves designing, configuring, and maintaining custom lists, fields, views, and workflows in Microsoft Project Server and associated Project SharePoint sites. The analyst will also develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards, troubleshoot reporting issues, and collaborate with IT teams to support data integration needs using basic SQL knowledge. Additionally, the role supports the review and streamlining of PMO process documents and provides guidance on Microsoft Project and project management best practices. Continuous improvement of PMO tools, systems, and processes is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience creating and maintaining Power BI or Tableau reports and dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, including site administration and list management.
  • Basic understanding of SQL for data querying and troubleshooting.
  • General knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of relevant PMO or project support experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project Server (on-premises) and Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
  • Experience streamlining processes and creating/maintaining procedural documentation.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Project / Project Server in a professional environment.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Program Managers and project teams on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server issues.
  • Design, configure, and maintain custom lists, fields, views, and workflows in Microsoft Project Server and associated Project SharePoint sites.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards; troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support data integration needs, leveraging basic SQL knowledge to facilitate accurate data extraction and reporting.
  • Support the review, revision, and streamlining of PMO process documents, templates, and guidance materials to enhance efficiency and promote consistency.
  • Provide support and guidance on Microsoft Project and broader project management best practices within the PMO.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to PMO tools, systems, and processes.
