About The Position

This role involves the coordination of inventory and routine ordering of products, stocking inventory locations, and performing routine and non-routine lubrication functions using various tools and equipment. The position also includes draining and cleaning reservoirs, performing mechanical modifications to systems for sampling and filtration, filling and topping off reservoirs, and changing filters and breathers. Responsibilities extend to operating filtration equipment, performing grease lubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment, and maintaining dispensing equipment and automatic systems. Additionally, the role requires labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and delivery containers, printing and fulfilling planned lubrication activities, updating scheduling systems, and requesting work orders. The technician will also schedule, collect, label, and mail samples for analysis, evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance, and report any discrepancies or conditions requiring corrective, predictive, or planned maintenance in writing.

Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills and good team building skills.
  • Able to work in an unsupervised position effectively.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as: OEM Maintenance plans, Blue prints, Advanced Lubrication Technology instruction and recommendations, Software system instructions.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for the purpose of interpreting alarms, calculating lubricant inventory and calculating lubrication quantity considerations.
  • Capability to operate moderately complex software and web based programs for lubrication, scheduling and oil analysis functions such as SAP.
  • Have a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and circulating systems operation, contamination control and maintenance functions.
  • Should be qualified to operate lifting equipment (Fork Truck, Skip Hoist, Etc.).
  • Should be qualified to perform lockout-tag out procedures.
  • Initiative and strong work habits.

  • Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities.
  • Schedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysis.
  • Receive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance.
  • Report in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systems.
