About The Position

DoubleTree hotel and Suites by the Galleria is looking for people that are passionate about delivering great guest service through food. If you have previous hotel culinary or restaurant line cook experience, apply today!

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of hotel culinary or restaurant line cook experience required
  • Flexible to work PM, mid-shifts, weekends and holidays up at least 12:30am
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours
  • Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Current Food Handler Certification required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to recipe and ensure portion, quality and presentation standards are consistently met
  • Date all food containers, consistently use FIFO method, make sure all perishables are properly stored and note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation for line set up
  • Consistently practice sanitation procedures to refrain from cross contamination, maintain cleanliness and sanitization of workstation and kitchen equipment
