About The Position
This job posting is for a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician specializing in material handling equipment, specifically forklifts, at Arnold Machinery. The PM Technician performs essential maintenance services for forklifts and other material handling equipment (electric, gas, propane, diesel). This role involves diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, and recommending repairs, while also utilizing electronic test equipment to identify malfunctions.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 75 lbs
- Flexibility required for bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
- Strong hearing sensitivity to detect sound variations
- Manual dexterity for using tools, operating forklifts, and performing physical tasks
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment
- Identifying necessary repairs and coordinating with Care Sales Representatives to schedule them
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing fuel, ignition, and emissions control systems
- Operating forklifts and other mechanized equipment
- Assist the Used Equipment Manager with tasks
- General office duties and paperwork
- Maintain a clean workspace
