About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens opportunity for a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician in an inpatient setting in Anchorage, AK. The role involves providing clinical coverage for a supplemental need, with a focus on a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients. The physician will work Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a need for 4 weeks per month. The practice is a hospital/rehab facility with 46 acute IP rehab beds and 10 long-term acute ICU level beds. The physician will be in a consulting capacity with the hospitalist attending, seeing patients a minimum of three times a week. The specialty mix includes Sports/Ortho, CNS Rehab, and Medical Rehab. EMR system used is Epic, and X-ray is available onsite.
Requirements
- Active AK License or IMLC
- Board Certified (BC)
- DEA
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage for PM&R patients in an inpatient setting.
- Manage a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients.
- See patients a minimum of 3 times a week.
- Act in a consulting capacity with the hospitalist attending.
- Perform rounding.
- Cover Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a 30-minute to 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
- Ensure ongoing, consistent coverage for the facility.
