About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician / Physiatrist to join a growing team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Elwood, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for a PM&R physician looking for strong hourly compensation, flexible scheduling, short shifts, and excellent work-life balance while practicing within a collaborative, physician-driven clinical model.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Active Kansas medical license or ability to obtain
- Federal DEA registration
- Kansas controlled substance registration or eligibility
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide PM&R care for patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Evaluate, diagnose and manage rehabilitation patients
- Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation plans
- Work alongside Internal Medicine in a consultative capacity to manage medically complex patients
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
