The Physician will report to the Chief Medical Officer for clinical matters and the Hospital Chief Executive Officer or his or her designee for administrative matters. This full-time role involves providing professional medical services to patients, including rounding and consultations. The physician will collaborate with facility leadership and staff to develop and evaluate patient care policies and procedures, and to identify and resolve medical and clinical concerns. Key responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and management of patients with physical and/or cognitive impairments and disabilities. This encompasses diagnosing and treating painful or functionally limiting conditions, managing co-morbidities, performing diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, electro-diagnostic medicine, and focusing on preventing secondary complications of disability. The role also involves assessing and stabilizing patients with emergent conditions, performing history and physical examinations, pre-admission assessments, and participating in the Plan of Care review. The physician will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards, including specific documentation like PAS, IPOC, Leading the interdisciplinary team conference, Progress Notes, Admission Orders, and IRF-PAI.
