About The Position

The PM Mold Technician performs deep cleaning and preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, fixtures, and mold components to support plant production. The work includes scheduled maintenance, cleaning, greasing and lubrication according to PM work instructions, and completing paperwork for work performed. The technician may assist the Mold Repair Technician with repairs, maintain good housekeeping, and perform other duties as required. The position includes a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule and availability for an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Able to follow applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in or supporting injection molding.
• Mechanical ability and experience using basic hand tools.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to learn mold preventative maintenance.
• Ability to maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain dies and molds.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, fixtures, and related items.
• Complete PM paperwork for preventative work and tasks performed.
• Operate a variety of small machines, tools, and equipment.
• Deep-clean molds using techniques such as chemical peel or dry ice blasting, as specified in PM work instructions.
• Grease and lubricate components using the greases and lubricants specified in PM work instructions.
• Assist the Mold Repair Technician with mold repairs as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Be available for an on-call rotation.
• Perform other duties as required.
