Mold Technician
About The Position
NDS, part of the Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) family of companies, provides stormwater, irrigation, and flow management solutions. Since 1972, NDS has developed water management products and customer support for residential, commercial, infrastructure, and agricultural applications, with a commitment to preserving water for future generations. The Mold Technician operates and performs maintenance checks on forklifts, transports molds for repair, carries out mold changeovers, identifies and replaces defective mold parts, troubleshoots and repairs mold cooling systems, and cleans, polishes, and lubricates molds. The position requires safe use of hand and power tools and completion of other related jobs as assigned. No unusual working conditions are identified.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to write up reports.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and perform maintenance checks on it.
- Bring molds in for repair and move them out when repairs are complete.
- Identify change-over parts and perform mold changeovers.
- Identify and replace defective mold parts.
- Troubleshoot and repair mold cooling systems.
- Use hand and power tools properly and safely.
- Clean, polish, and lubricate molds on a bench.
- Perform other related jobs as assigned.
