PM Med Aide/Med Tech
About The Position
Waters Edge Lodge is currently seeking a Medication Aide and/or Med Tech for the PM (2:30pm-11:00pm) shift. The primary functions of a Med Aide/Med Tech are to administer medications, respond to residents' needs promptly, and react timely to resident pull cords/alerts. Waters Edge Lodge is nestled in a unique and peaceful setting on the lagoon of Harbor Bay. Our 100 apartments provide a warm and familiar atmosphere where residents can maintain an independent and active lifestyle. We offer an extensive list of programs and activities, creating a stimulating social atmosphere where friendships develop and thrive. Residents may also enjoy the many walking trails in the community or visit one of the many professional services, cafes, shops and major stores at Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center located next door. We are a pet friendly community, residents may have animals in their private apartments and the Med Aide/Tech position will have to enter and perform work in that space.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 months experience or equivalent education in the healthcare environment
- Ability to speak English clearly to elderly residents
- Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
- current COVID19 vaccination
- Routine COVID tests
- Physical TB test
- Fingerprint clearance from the FBI & Dept. of Justice
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work in resident apartments where animals may be present
