About The Position
Borden Hauling, a Waste Connections company, has an immediate opening for a PM Mechanic to join the team in Elkhart, IN. Our PM Mechanic will perform routine preventative maintenance services on garbage trucks, and support senior technicians.
Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work outside
- Proficiency in a variety of diesel vehicle diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance and repair
Responsibilities
- Execute preventative maintenance inspections and services on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment: change engine oil, filters, inspect brakes, suspension components, lights, belts, tire pressure, and more.
- Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel vehicles.
- Complete inspection reports and maintenance documentation accurately
- Identify and report potential mechanical issues to supervisors and diesel techs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
