About The Position

Join our Major Projects Transmission & Distribution team to support the successful delivery of large-scale capital projects. This role is responsible for leading or supporting all phases of the project lifecycle—initiation through closeout—ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution while meeting stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, or project environments OR 5+ years of related technical/project experience without a degree
  • Foundational knowledge of project management principles (scope, cost, schedule, risk)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading large capital or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk on complex projects
  • Proficiency with project management tools (scheduling, cost tracking, risk systems)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to work in field environments including noise, dust, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and other industrial conditions
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in utility, transmission & distribution, or large industrial capital projects
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices (PMI or similar)
  • Experience with PMIS systems, scheduling tools, and cost/risk management software
  • PMP or similar certification (for PM level)

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support full project lifecycle execution: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closeout
  • Ensure alignment of project scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Implement and maintain project scope and configuration management practices
  • Transition completed projects safely and effectively to operations/customers
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules to meet key milestones
  • Track performance using metrics and dashboards; proactively address variances
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities using established tools
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contracting, and performance oversight
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and external partners
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively manage expectations
  • Address conflicts and navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and project governance requirements
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and effectively to stakeholders
  • Support safety and environmental objectives across all project activities
