About The Position

This position is responsible for completing a volume-appropriate route, maintaining communication with dispatch, and training new phlebotomists. The role also involves administrative tasks such as tracking route sheets, mileage entry, and assisting with supply orders and log collections. Collaboration with various departments is essential.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to work the schedule of 3:00pm-11:30pm, M-F.
Proficiency in Datarrive for mileage entry and assignment changes.
Ability to train new phlebotomists.
Knowledge of AM facility clearance procedures (UTO’s, same day refusals, ammonias).
Strong communication skills for rapport with dispatch.
Ability to account for route sheets daily.
Ability to conduct quarterly trunk checks.
Cooperative attitude towards other departments.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a phlebotomist.
Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Familiarity with APS procedures.
Experience with supply ordering and log collection.

Responsibilities

Checks in with dispatch for call-offs, on-calls, and amendments to the AM run.
Completes volume-appropriate routes.
Stays informed about AM facility clearances (e.g., UTO’s, same day refusals, ammonias).
Develops good rapport with dispatch for clear communication.
Trains new phlebotomists when no trainers are designated.
Attends facility start-up in-services with APS.
Conducts quarterly trunk checks.
Accounts for all route sheets daily.
Stays up to date on mileage entry in Datarrive.
Makes daily changes in Datarrive for next day assignments.
Assists APS in ordering supplies and closing orders if no other designee is available.
Assists APS in collection of centrifuge logs and placement in binders if no other designee is available.
Assists APS in butterfly logs/usage if no other designee is available.
Works cooperatively with all other departments, including Laboratory Dispatch, Courier Dispatch, Couriers, Accessioning, Customer Service, and Data Entry.
