About The Position

About the Role: The primary responsibility of this position is cleaning Dining Services production areas, and making deliveries to our contract service customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent GED
Take ServSafe course and pass ServSafe Foodhandler exam within one year of employment
Valid driver’s license and Insurable driving record.

Nice To Haves

General maintenance skills (diagnosing problems; using tools, greasing equipment, replacing wheels on carts)
A broad range of standard custodial skills (cleaning, wiping, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, vacuuming, trash removal, and use of chemical cleaners)
Basic skills: reading, writing, performing simple arithmetic, operating basic office equipment (copier, telephone) and basic custodial equipment (ladder, broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, scrubber, and buffer)
A broad range of standard delivery skills (reading, counting, organizing, lifting, pushing, pulling, safely driving one-ton delivery/box trucks and vans, operating a lift)
Customer service skills in working with the public, contract customers, and customers
Communication skills to give directions to student employees and work with other staff to ensure that proper procedures are being followed
Ability to engage our customers with an attitude of willingness and dedication to serve
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position.
General cleaning of kitchen production area.
Delivery of food products to contract customers throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area while operating a delivery vehicle and lift (primarily in the Summer).
