About The Position

SundaeTM is looking for a candidate to join their leadership team as a PM Assistant Manager for their coming-soon flagship location on 16th Street in Denver. This role is an entry-level management opportunity that is both fun and challenging, with the goal of beginning training soon. SundaeTM is an established artisan ice cream business with a mission to Share Joy, One Scoop at a Time. Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of foodservice supervisor, team leadership experience or equivalent required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Valid Food Safety Manager certificate or equivalent (may be obtained within 60 days of hire date)
  • Daytime availability required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of PM shift operations while meeting heavy customer volume demands
  • Lead and motivate shift teams of 4-12 team members through busy afternoon and evening shifts by demonstrating exemplary customer service, portion control, and presentation, all while maintaining the upmost professionalism in a high volume, quick service environment
  • Generate consistent, high-quality service that prioritizes sharing joy and cultivating connection through expert knowledge of brand standards and products
  • Effectively balance operational efficiency and crowd control while maintaining a positive team and customer environment
  • Reinforce brand standards and elevate performance during busy, high demand shifts by providing in the moment feedback and response operational, employee or customer issues
  • Promote Sundae’s loyalty programs and seasonal promotions to customers by encouraging signups and enhancing the customer experience
  • Model clear and effective team communication with a constant focus on SOP execution, customer satisfaction, and employee morale and retention
  • Respond courteously to unexpected operational needs and provide support by being available for on call and emergency coverage during short absences of the General Manager
  • Assist the General Manager with hiring, training, and coaching of team members with a constant focus on being an exceptional employer
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate food costs by monitoring waste, controlling portion sizes, and accurately tracking outgoing and incoming transfers
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization and appearance throughout the store and ensure compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and other industry standards, including overseeing the stewards on shift
  • Participate in and contribute to regular staff, management, and leadership meetings
  • Assist the General Manager with any administrative tasks required for retail operations, including but not limited to bank deposits, payroll reporting, performance documentation, and scheduling
