About The Position

Parsons is looking for a talented Plumbing Helper/Plumbing Technician to join their team. This role involves performing plumbing tasks under the oversight of an NC Master Plumber, focusing on the installation of residential water filtration systems, typical residential plumbing repairs, and the installation of privately owned water lines connecting residences and small businesses to public water systems. The role has variable office to field duties, with approximately 20% office work and 80% field work. The field portion is primarily exterior work, involving residential privately owned well supply system upgrades, troubleshooting, or private to public water connections. Travel between worksites or the office in Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC is required 2-3 days a week. A company vehicle and tools will be provided for company use.

Requirements

High school education or GED
NC Drivers License
Ability to work in exterior conditions with typical NC summer and winter conditions
Ability to work in the field, on your feet with routine lifting of up to 50-lbs for general material handling tasks

Nice To Haves

2+ years experience assisting licensed plumbers preferred

Responsibilities

Perform plumbing tasks working under the oversight of an NC Master Plumber for plumbing tasks related to installation of residential water filtration systems, typical residential plumbing repairs and installation of privately owned water lines connecting residences and small businesses to public water systems.
Assist operating compact trenching machines.
Hand dig shallow trenches (<3' deep).
Cut/assemble piping systems using PEX, NA standard pipe thread, solvent weld and limited flanged piping systems.
Operate routine power tools.
Clear vegetation.
Collect Residential water samples.
Prepare Residential filter systems.
