About The Position

The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing plumbing crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and company standards. This position provides leadership, technical guidance, quality control, and customer support while fostering a positive, productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, repair techniques, and applicable building codes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
  • Proficiency using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (where applicable).
  • Residential new construction experience.
  • Experience supervising multiple crews.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead, and support residential plumbing crews on assigned projects.
  • Plan daily work schedules and assign technicians based on project priorities.
  • Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Inspect completed work to verify quality, workmanship, and compliance with company standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and provide technical guidance to field personnel.
  • Communicate project progress, scheduling updates, and job status with management, customers, builders, and contractors.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor productivity, workmanship, and safety.
  • Train, coach, and mentor apprentices and plumbing technicians to support their professional development.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring recommendations, and onboarding new employees.
  • Coordinate material orders, inventory needs, and equipment usage.
  • Review job specifications and blueprints to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, job documentation, inspections, and reports.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency response or on-call rotation as needed.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
