About The Position

Home Comfort USA is hiring a Plumbing Service Technician to provide residential plumbing service, repairs, maintenance, and replacement work. The technician diagnoses plumbing systems and fixtures, identifies deficiencies, explains solutions to homeowners, and presents service and upgrade options using a consultative sales approach. The role includes generating and closing sales, preparing estimates, and explaining pricing, warranties, and financing. Technicians are expected to provide a strong customer experience, document work accurately, comply with local plumbing codes and company standards, maintain a safe and organized work environment, participate in ongoing training, and meet performance, customer satisfaction, and sales goals. The position offers a stated starting pay range of $75,000–$120,000, with compensation dependent on factors including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility may also be available. Requirements

At least 3 years of residential plumbing service experience.
Ability to diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems.
Experience presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to build rapport and earn customer trust.
Knowledge of local plumbing codes and industry best practices.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to use tablets, mobile applications, and digital invoicing systems.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
Ability to perform physical activities that may include bending, climbing stairs or ladders, repetitive motion, kneeling, reaching, squatting, standing, crawling, walking, and running.
May need to drive and sit for long periods.
May need to lift, carry, or push up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems and fixtures.
Service, repair, and replace water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, shut-off valves, and piping systems.
Identify plumbing deficiencies and educate homeowners about recommended solutions.
Present repair, replacement, and upgrade options using a consultative sales approach.
Generate and close sales for plumbing services, water heaters, filtration systems, fixture upgrades, repipes, and other residential plumbing solutions.
Provide accurate estimates and explain pricing, warranties, and financing options.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience during every service call.
Maintain detailed service records, invoices, and job documentation.
Complete work in compliance with local plumbing codes and company standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Participate in ongoing technical and sales training programs.
