About The Position

Fire & Ice is seeking an experienced Plumbing Sales Technician to provide expert guidance and customized plumbing solutions to homeowners throughout the Columbus area. This role is ideal for a skilled plumbing professional who enjoys building relationships, educating customers, and turning service opportunities into long-term customer satisfaction. As a Plumbing Sales Technician, you'll leverage your technical expertise and consultative sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and drive departmental growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential plumbing experience with strong technical knowledge.
  • Proven sales, estimating, or customer-facing experience within the plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or home services industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to sales.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical plumbing concepts to homeowners.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping homeowners make informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience generating residential plumbing estimates and proposals.
  • Knowledge of water heaters, tankless water heaters, water treatment systems, sewer and drain services, repiping, sump pumps, and other residential plumbing solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales management software.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to homeowners by assessing plumbing needs and recommending tailored solutions.
  • Conduct in-home consultations and explain repair, replacement, and upgrade options with confidence and professionalism.
  • Generate accurate estimates, present proposals, and close sales opportunities.
  • Build trust with customers by providing honest recommendations and exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure project accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions, estimates, and sales activities.
  • Follow up on pending estimates, leads, and referrals to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Stay informed on company services, product offerings, and industry best practices.
  • Represent Fire & Ice with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to customer-first service.
