About The Position

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Huntington Beach is seeking a motivated, people-first Plumbing Sales Consultant. This role requires strong communication skills and the drive to earn based on performance, as it is a 100% commission position with uncapped earning potential. The consultant will be responsible for assessing plumbing issues, clearly communicating the problem and solutions to customers, and closing jobs. This role serves as the face of the company, building trust and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Plumbing knowledge and experience required — you must understand what you are selling and be able to explain it credibly to a homeowner or property manager
Strong communication and customer service skills — the ability to build rapport quickly and explain technical issues in simple terms is essential
Applicable plumbing certifications and licensing as required by the State of California
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a commission-only environment
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site plumbing assessments and clearly explain findings to the customer in plain, easy-to-understand language
Communicate the urgency of repairs — helping customers understand the risks of delayed action and the value of addressing issues promptly
Present repair and service options using our Straight Forward Pricing system — transparent, upfront, and approved pricing on every call, no surprises
Close service agreements confidently and professionally, ensuring the customer is fully informed and comfortable with the recommended solution
Educate customers on each service being performed and ensure 100% satisfaction before leaving the job site
Test all aspects of completed work prior to departure to eliminate unnecessary callbacks
Maintain a professional appearance and a clean, organized work area at all times — including inside and outside of company vehicles
Wear floor savers in customers' homes and treat every property with the utmost care and respect
