About The Position

Fidelity Mechanical Services, the premier provider of HVAC, mechanical, piping, and plumbing services in the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Pipefitter / Plumbing Foreman to join our growing team. With over 75 years of delivering proactive, world‑class service, we’re looking for a leader who takes pride in their craft and enjoys running successful jobs from start to finish. The Pipefitter / Plumbing Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing and piping systems. This includes underground, above-ground, and building systems for heating, cooling, domestic water, waste, storm, and specialty piping. The Foreman partners closely with Project Management to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial pipefitting and/or plumbing experience
  • 3+ years in a Foreman or lead supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and piping systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
  • Experience projecting labor and material needs
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (preferred)
  • Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Formal foreman or leadership training (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct pipefitting and plumbing crews on active job sites
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for: Domestic water, sanitary, storm, and roof drainage systems; Heating and cooling water systems; Steam, gas, specialty, and process piping
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Perform and oversee: Underground and above-ground piping installations; Fixture rough-ins and final installations (toilets, urinals, sinks, floor drains, carriers, water heaters, etc.); Installation of materials including PVC, cast iron, copper, steel, and specialty piping
  • Plan work activities and crew assignments to meet schedule and budget expectations
  • Coordinate material takeoffs, labor planning, and equipment needs
  • Accurately track labor, material usage, and production; complete daily reports and documentation
  • Inspect work in progress and completed installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards
  • Communicate job status, issues, and updates to Project Managers and Superintendents
  • Identify and resolve job-site challenges, construction conflicts, and installation issues
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements; conduct safety meetings and inspections
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members to promote a safe, productive, and professional work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
