About The Position
East Coast Mechanical (ECM) is seeking a Plumbing Parts Specialist / Buyer to support our service team. This office-based role is ideal for individuals with plumbing knowledge who are looking for steady hours, a comfortable working environment, and a long-term career path. Prior purchasing experience is not required, as training will be provided. The focus is on leveraging your real-world plumbing expertise.
Requirements
- Plumbing experience OR purchasing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and organization skills
- Basic computer/Excel skills

Responsibilities
- Order plumbing parts and equipment for service and install jobs
- Work directly with technicians and managers to ensure correct parts are ordered
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and lead times
- Track orders and follow up on backorders or delays
- Verify invoices against orders
- Assist in improving parts processes and vendor relationships
