About The Position

MVP is seeking a Residential Plumbing Manager to lead their plumbing division in Kansas City. This role is crucial for recruiting, training, and mentoring technicians, ensuring the department meets growth and profitability goals. The manager will act as a technical expert, coach, and operational strategist, upholding the 'MVP Standard' for all jobs.

Requirements

5+ years of residential plumbing experience
At least 2 years in a leadership or management role
Master or Journeyman Plumber with a deep understanding of residential systems and local Kansas City codes
Understanding of inventory, labor hours, and callbacks for profitability
Comfortable using ServiceTitan to track performance and manage workflow
Exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to customers and motivate a diverse team of technicians

Nice To Haves

Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber license

Responsibilities

Conduct weekly tool-box talks and one-on-one coaching sessions to improve technician performance, communication, and sales skills.
Perform 'ride-alongs' and quality-control site visits to ensure every job is performed safely, to code, and to high standards.
Partner with the General Manager and Branch Controller to review department P&Ls, job costing, and technician KPIs.
Act as the final point of escalation for complex technical issues in the field.
Work closely with the recruiting team to identify, hire, and onboard plumbing talent.
Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure efficient job assignment.
