About The Position

The Residential Installation Plumber installs and inspects tub sets and trims and maintains water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems. The role requires interpreting blueprints and building specifications to ensure installations meet applicable requirements. The plumber also tests installed fixtures, repairs or replaces damaged parts, and trains new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of plumbing experience.
Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
Extensive knowledge of plumbing installations and plumbing system repair.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent mechanical skills.
Ability to climb and work off ladders.
Physical ability to work with tools and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems.
Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
Interpret blueprints and building specifications for plumbing installations.
Use tools and equipment, including saws and cutters, to perform installations and repairs.
Measure and modify pipes by cutting, threading, or bending them with specialized tools.
Repair and replace damaged parts.
Train new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques and practices.
Test plumbing systems and installed fixtures to ensure they function properly.
Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes.
Maintain a neat truck and complete inventory.
